The Badri & Jai Saga

This post is completely dedicated to the two characters I fell in love with while working on a certain project for a client.

I created Badri and Jai so as to effectively communicate the government initiative of bridging the rural-urban divide, through a simple story line. (Refer PURA scheme by APJ ABdul Kalim)

Badri is the simple village lad. He is a multi-tasker, always up for anything to earn that extra buck. He can become your personal guide around the village, can shake his booty quite well to the folk artists' tunes and be a great friend and philosopher too.

Jai, a student, the dude from the city and an avid traveler meets Badri on his visit to this village to experience the changing face of rural India as a result of application of various renewable energy resources.

Below are a few extracts from the story-board I created on Jai's experience with Badri in the village....

In the Shoes of the (Mini)Maharaja

A friend bought these cute little miniature collectible mojaris for me from Lucknow- the land of the nawabs. (couldn't stop myself from clicking these pretty little things and posting it...)

Mojari aka Jooti or Nagra, a unique footwear from the land of Maharajas- India. A footwear fit for the Kings and Queens, now worn by all, a popular street style.

I am an avid lover of Mojaris. Versatile and comfortable. Team it with just about anything to add aboho-chic flavour to your style.

The reason why one would find these so comfortable is because they becomes part of the body, mind and soul. They have no left-right distinction and are inevitably flat soled. They take the shape of the feet giving a comfortable walking experience.

Much Love,
